Over the years, I have gained valuable experience in project execution in various roles, including project manager, steering committee member, and project team member, in both successful and less successful projects.

Through these experiences, I have encountered several recurring challenges in project planning and execution:

• A lack of understanding about the true nature of a project, which places undue pressure on project managers to provide definitive statements about project outcomes, costs, and timelines, even when there is significant uncertainty at early stages.
• Organizations often overlook the importance of fostering a project culture and cultivating a deep understanding of the fundamental principles that underpin successful projects, leading to suboptimal project planning and execution.
• Insufficient focus on building a coherent team with inherently motivated members to drive project success.
• Poor project planning and inaccurate estimations based on weak foundations.

In my training sessions, I focus on providing a comprehensive understanding of the key characteristics of a project and the fundamental principles and tools that project managers can utilize to successfully deliver project results that match stakeholders’ expectations, rather than focusing on a specific project methodology.
